| Focusing on the investigation, assessment, and mapping of aquatic habitats | |||||||||
| MX provides acoustic survey solutions for clients in the fields of global aquatic habitat surveys and aquatic ecology research. It adopts an integrated design, which is lighter and more portable than ordinary echo detectors. It integrates multiple functions and has a built-in differential GPS sensor, which can simultaneously meet the three functions of submerged vegetation investigation, sediment classification, and water depth measurement. The BioSonics Visual Habitat data processing software can help users download maps with just one click. Through analysis, the results of the survey area's trajectory, water depth, submerged vegetation, and sediment type can be clearly marked on the map, and distribution maps can be generated through interpolation. Meanwhile, the exported data can be imported into software such as ArcGIS for advanced mapping. | |||||||||

| Submerged vegetation mapping can plot the plant height and coverage distribution of the survey section on a map. User defined colors and gradients to represent plant height and coverage. The middle part of all sections in the left image is white, representing no vegetation distribution. | ![]() |

| The Z-Boat 1800MX water survey system was jointly developed by OCEANSCIENCE and BioSonics. It uses OCEANSCIENCE's wireless remote-controlled tugboat as the mobile platform and data transmission platform, BioSonics' MX echo detector as the data acquisition subject, and a 200KHz ultrasonic echo detector to collect acoustic signals of the water body, forming color echo maps for water terrain measurement, sediment classification survey, water depth measurement, and submerged plant survey. Z-Boat1800 is an ultra small survey vessel that is easy to carry and can be remotely controlled wirelessly. Especially suitable for use in remote areas where boats cannot be rented and in shallow waters where boats cannot be sailed. | |||||||||
